7. Hum Hod Cliff, Thailand

Situated in the Sai-Thong National Park, this features great hiking trails, lush nature and rare flowers. Meanwhile this viewpoint might be one of the most exciting in the world – a flat rock protruding above the abyss is not for the fainthearted. However the views from the precipitous cliffs are striking. at 860 m (2821 ft) above sea level a narrow rock seems to be protruding above the abyss. However, overwhelming panorama to the forest takes visitors’ breath away. Along the way to the top, hikers pass the Siam tulip field and move towards Pung Poey Mountain.

The nearby town of San Francisco can be reached by bus. Most people ride the bus all the way there from Caracas, Ciudad Boliviar, or Ciudad Guyana. 5. Mount Roraima, South America

The impressive summit spreads through three countries – Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. It is the highest peak of the Pakaraima mountains chain, reaching a 2,810 m (9,219 ft) height. The steep rocks form a cliff, which looks like the edge of the world. First described to Europeans by the English explorer Sir Walter Raleigh during his 1595 expedition, its 31-square-kilometre summit area is bounded on all sides by cliffs rising 400 metres

4. Priekestolen, Norway

Preikestolen or Prekestolen is a tourist attraction in the municipality of Strand in Rogaland county, Norway. Preikestolen is a steep cliff which rises 604 metres above the Lysefjorden. Atop the cliff, there is an almost flat top of approximately 25 by 25 metres. The steep flat cliff is indeed incredible. Those standing on it looking down the abyss seem to find themselves on the top of the world. The cliff drops into a mild climate zone, so it welcomes visitors all year round. Interestingly there are no fences, preserving an authentic and unspoiled nature.

1. Hua Shan, China

Mount Hua is a mountain located near the city of Huayin in Shaanxi Province, about 120 kilometres east of Xi’an. It is the western mountain of the Five Great Mountains of China and has a long history of religious significance. Due to these pilgrimages many temples are located in the area. Though, the trails that wind their way up to the five peaks are populated by droves of day-trippers drawn by the dreamy scenery.  There are knife-blade ridges and twisted pine trees poking from crevices and clinging to ledges, while the summits offer transcendent panoramas of green mountains and countryside stretching away to the horizon.
